Procedure

Ummahaat-ul-Mu’mineen Institute (UMMI) and Abu Bakr Institute (ABI), we offer a range of resources and services to help students succeed in their Qur’aanic education. Our goal is to ensure students are well-prepared, whether they’re aiming to meet graduation requirements, planning for further studies, or simply looking to improve their knowledge.

UMMI Academic Support Program Highlights:

Student Portal & Communication: The student portal is your go-to place for staying connected with teachers, classmates, and the school. You can ask questions, access extra help, and keep track of your grades all in one place. If you’re absent, make sure to update the administration so they know your status.
Grading System: We use a percentage-based system to grade your performance. To pass, you need to keep an average of 70% or higher. You’ll also need to pass at least two of the four exams each semester to move up to the next level. Keep an eye on your grades through the portal to make sure you’re on track.
Tilaawah & Hifdh Assignments: If you’re in Hifdh classes, you’ll have three types of assignments:
1. New Memorization: Learning new verses to recite.
2. Review: Practicing previously memorized verses.
3. General Review: Reciting content you’ve memorized over time.
Assessments in Hifdh aren’t graded but give you feedback on your progress.
Tutoring Services: Need extra help? You can drop in for quick, free tutoring via the portal. If you need more in-depth support, you can schedule longer tutoring sessions at an affordable rate.
UMMI & ABI Solutions Shop: Our online shop provides textbooks, supplies, and gifts, making it easy to get what you need for your studies. You can pay using PayPal or credit card, and our customer service is ready to help if needed.
Internships & Class Hopping:
- Internships: If you’re interested in teaching, students in the Ijaazah program can work as teacher assistants to gain practical experience in Tajweed recitation.
- Class Hopping: Want to explore new subjects? Class Hopping allows you to attend classes outside your regular schedule to expand your knowledge.
